A COLORFUL HALLOWEEN!

I HEART HALLOWEEN!

It is by far my most favorite holiday of the year! All of my cherished obsessions are wildly celebrated all in one day! Make-up, costumes, creativity, and candy!!!! With that being said I have a strong disregard towards ready made costumes and the orange & black wrapped candy. Both total cop outs for Halloween.

I loved my hair and make-up from last years costumes...pumpkin, anime, and a doodle bop! I laugh at the fact that most of my costume/make-up is derived from my real actual everyday wardrobe and make-up!

Though my favorite Halloween memory would have to be when Dezi and I became senior citizens from the 80's going to the beach. For the life of me I cannot find the one camera phone pix of the hilarious event! But just picture all my sequins & sparkles thrown up on Dezi with a beach hat. We then crashed an institute party and a high school dance, street raced, and then just ended up stealing Del Taco from the Wolf Pack.

Forget all of those myrid moments of all hallows eve, that was Childs Play bagged candy because this year took the cake, or the cash in our case!

I LOOOOOVE HALLOWEEN!!!

Mexican Kallie, Pirate Becca, Southern Most Point Hollie, Crayon Bre

We were the bait outside of the store. Hollie's face portrays our enthusiasm for presenting on a daily basis.

But hey that guy gave me a dollar for my picture and creativity!

Oops! The power went out! So we were forced to take a break and venture down Duval Street.

Normally a 10 minute stroll turned into 45 minutes of model behavior. We strutted our model walk, in my case model waddle, and were stopped every 5 seconds to take a picture with any random stranger/tourist. Cameras snapped at us from every angle, sidewalk, balcony, restaurant, and car you could imagine. If I had a quarter for every polariod taken I would be one Juicy bag richer!

Eventually we found and heard the Parrot Head Party and were caught in the middle of it, being offered jell-o shots and all! I love Becca's finger pirate hook!

Mardi-gras necklaces galore falling from the sky/dirty old men's hands! For the big necklaces to be airborne they wanted our shirts to be airborne. The A's and B's yelled back they had nothing to show, the D simply proclaimed the crayon could not be unwrapped!

HAHA I love this get up! My favorite tramp of the night!

From down below to now up above there was an eerie swarm of black birds circling the street party.

Everyone loved my Crayola costume and decided to copyright Bre from the colored eyelashes to the colored tights!

THE CUTE CRAYON BOX
Since the hot pink crayon was such a rave earlier on, we decided to go back down to Duval Street and trick or treat for tips! We found ourselves being ushered into a Halloween Costume Contest at Cowboy Bill's. Little did we know it was Bill's annual SEXIEST Halloween Costume Contest.
Some where along the way we found Goose, Maverick, and Ice Man on the dance floor.

HOT MAGENTA & ELECTRIC LIME

250 BONES!!! THANKS COWBOY BILLS!

We beat out a drag Britney Spears, a scary wench, and a flashing lady cop! My creative and daring efforts granted me $100 of the pot while the others got $50!

We celebrated our winnings by making Top Gun buy us onto Rick's dance floor along with our free waters. Half of the crayons got peeled/rubbed off from our freak dancing. Notice I am still dressed, I do not promote crayon rubbing.

PEACE OUT TIL NEXT YEAR!
I'M OFF TO SPEND MY PAPER AT JUICY!

NADA

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NADA!

Today is my favorite little girl's 11th birthday!

Nada, pronouced nay-duh, not naw-duh. It irritated me to the core, like she was my own child, when people mispronounced her name. I had the privilige of living in a beautiful huge Connecticut house with her and her two spastic dogs and freaky cat for a year. Oh yes, Phil and Amy lived there too, though you wouldn't know it with their work schedules. I had the time of my life though, and I managed to learn a few motherly traits here and there. Mostly my knowledge gained was about myself and this special 11 year old. She taught me more in a year than anyone else nor BYU nor teaching has in that allotted time frame. I grew to love her so much I kept extending my stay from the end of the summer to October to December to March to May and finally July 12. Nada was my little sister, my buddy, my shopping pal, my daughter, my student, and my friend. It was very hard to part from her and our East Coast lifestyle. Though at times I surely wanted to kill and lock myself in the basement amid her extreme temper tantrums and Elmo fascination. Her severe autism was a great challenge for me, communication and teaching methods were a huge adjustment. But by the end we understood each other perfectly.

A few of my favorite things about Nada:

-Don't let her size full you, she is freakishly strong and has some serious guns.

-Her and Phil's body is 90% cheetos, 4 or 5 bags a week! We love cheeto puffs!

-Sometimes I fed her candy amid Amy's size 2 all organic diet.

-She loved having her nails painted

-I taught her how to load a dishwasher, push her chair in, put her shoes away, feed the dogs, and most importantly how to jump off couches.

-She loved going shopping at Target and TJMaxx and peeing in the carts to make me mad so we could leave.

-We loved riding the escaltors up and down, up and down, up and down at the Trumball Mall.

-And riding the merry go round at Danbury Mall.

-Finding and driving to all the Stop & Shops within a 30 mile radius.

-Going to the library to see the snowman

-Naming all the fabric colors at Jo-ann's

-Playing with the girls at Mindys and going on lunch dates

-Riding in the Yukon fighting over the radio

-Going for walks down the street checking everyone's mailboxes

-Despite having 2-3 servings of her own dinner, she would always come sit on the couch with me and eat all of my dinner. It was annoying but I miss it.

This captures Nada's spirit and personality perfectly!

It is my favorite shot and encompasses memories of us constantly laughing together.

HAPPY BIRTHAY NADA!

BUURRRRR.....

it's cold in here! There must be some Torros in the atmosphere!

Ohmy today in Key West it was a freezing 68* outside!

The first day since I've been here that it was not an option to lay out on a sunny wind chill day!

And the first day since my arrival I had to wear a jacket and socks!

I'm offically a wuss! I bundled up, leggings, uggs, jacket and all!

I was all too thrilled to finally have a reason to get the caramel apple cider from Starbucks!

It amused me more than normal to laugh at the sights of the Key West attire in the cold.

I saw beanies, windbreakers, a puffy fur trimmed hooded jacket, gloves, jeans, real shoes and all this was mixed and matched with flip flops and shorts!

It got to about 64* that night and I almost froze. But when the Puerto Rican dropped me into the ocean that night it was suprisingly warm. Though he suprisingly is not! So conclusion...I am ready for the cold front and the Puerto Rican to leave already!

UNCLE BEAN-O!

This is why I HEART my brother Kurt and why he is cool!

I got this pix today via the Verizon family plan.

He is seriously the biggest Jazz fanatic ebay'ing buying person ever!

He bids me cool stuff like this on Ebay!
He accepts, never judges, and always supports my true love crushes on athletic figures.

He's metro.

All you girls can thank me later for not having to teach your boyfriend to dress.

He was totally bad ace once and went to the Bronx to a Yawkee game...alone! He rode the train and subway completely decked out in his Mariners gear, a huge feat in Yankee town. And then sat, heckled, and cheered from his seat, 12 rows up behind the home dugout!

He's the best Uncle Bean-o ever! Taking Lexi to Jazz games and all! (of course he had to show the Jazz logo in the 2nd pic! & I don't know why but Lexi loves those spiders?!)

GO BEAN-O!

I have no idea why I granted him this term and only recollect a homemade sign amid the aiport at his mission homecoming.

Thanks for all the sports and/or dating reports via text. And all the video/pix messages of Lexi.

We only call each other when it's of absolute most importance, such as giving a play by play of game 7 of the ALCS or gloating about Jazz player sightings in their luxury vehicles.

With that being said, he is the only one whose calls I do not screen and probably answer 90% of the time.

THAT'S NOT FUNNY!

I had the privilege today of accompanying my boss' wife to help with the marketing of the hotels for our store today. This week has been quite the naked adventure called Fantasy Fest. Here my eyes burn from the g-strings, thongs, banana hammocks, fishnet, sheer, lace, leather, horns, masks, wigs, costumes, body paint or lack there of roaming the streets of Key West! With that being said, the Halloween party has begun early at the Southern Most Point! We went around the island today stealing from the candy jars in each hotel we visited. Each one had their own theme and decoration going on to bring in the festivities to all the tourists. At one particular hotel everyone was dressed up for a costume contest. The old lady concierge we talked to was dressed as a wench pirate. Then her friend/co-worker showed up and that's when I saw it.... I WAS THE HALLOWEEN COSTUME! No lie. I stood there amid boss wife laughter because of my oversized powder puff girl sunglasses, my Pucci-esque head wrap scarf, and my Utah poof!

THEN later that night the following conversation in the ladies room at Irish Kevin's took place...

Naked body painted girl: so what are you suppose to be?
Me: huh?
Naked body painted girl: i like your costume.
Me: oh uh im not dressed up but thanks?
Naked body painted girl: oh i thought your costume was suppose to be a sexy slutty flapper
Me: oh right.... yeah... i.... forgot.

Ahhhh! THAT'S NOT FUNNY! I'm NOT a Halloween costume! Even though I would totally wear both of those vintage go-go girl outfits minus the accessories on a fun summer day.

ITS HOT TO NOT!

No, today is not red ribbon week, it's my day off! Nothing gives greater indulgence than laying out in a new bikini! So much that I cancelled everything on the agenda in order to start the process of skin cancer. I know it's hot to not but it is my zen. In order to live in this gosh-forsaken place and work at this brain cell killing job I need to fully replenish myself on my days off enabling me to get through the rest of the week. Which is why I switched my badly needed roots hair appointment today, I can wear scarves, hats, and headbands til next week.

Random hearts of love today go to....

*TI! Ohmy such a bad ace gangsta. He'll give me whatever I want. No one on the corner can compare to his swagga! Loved thugging out to his songs on the balcony today, and so did that kid on his skateboard, and the senior citizen couple next door bbq'ing. I just realized all of Dezi's and my gangsta songs stem from his vocal cords!

*ban-do! im so loving their cute headpieces! www.shopbando.com/shop.html

These makes me want to get married-

These make me want to go back to NYC

This makes me want to eat a snow cone

This makes me want to fall in love

This makes me want to have the first date in SoHo again

*Lenka! I heart Don't Let Me Fall. Thanks Shann for the musical referral. Give it a listen to before they damage with replay on the radio!

*ice cold grape Propel! Love it! Stemming back from the days of my vegas vaykay with Nakki K and Dizzy D!

*Pucci! I HEART HEART HEART and treasure my dearly beloved Bloomingdales Pucci scarf! It is by far one my favorite long awaited New York purchases! Also, the Pucci roll on fragrance at Sephora smells divine!

It's hot to not...lay out and get leather skin cancer when I'm 50!
I will wear a red tan, i mean ribbon, for that!
